11/15/2011 12:37:13 PM

VISITORS A “BLESSING” FOR HAYDNOur much-loved Patron, Professor Haydn Lloyd Davies, is “convalescing and comfortable” at the Elizabeth Lodge Nursing Home in Mowbray Road, Willoughby.

Greeting every visitor with a handshake and a huge smile, Haydn says he’s fortunate to be in the care of the highly professional team at Elizabeth Lodge.

“If you’re going to be laid up long-term, then this is the place to be,” says Haydn.  “Quite simply, I cannot fault the attitude and commitment of all the staff.”

Reciprocating the compliment, Director of Nursing Sue Lee says the Llanrhaeadr-born scholar is a “very good patient – always cheerful and ever helpful.”

Still a champion of all things Welsh, Haydn has been a fixture at Welsh social and community events for more than 40 years.

Now retired from his post as Professor of Pastoral Science at the University of NSW, he has been a member of the Celtic Council since its inception in 1983 and remains Welsh custodian for the Celtic Stones at Glen Innes.

For those who wish to visit Haydn there is basement parking at Elizabeth Lodge.  He can also be contacted by phone on (02) 8966 6370.
